Approach and conditions of participations

The book "Interdisciplinary Aspects of Climate Change" will be published by Peter Lang Scientific Publishers (Frankfurt, New York, Bern, Vienna), which has published previous volumes of the award-winning series "Environmental Education, Communication and Sustainability"which has produced nearly 30 high-impact books since its creation in 1996.

Submissions to "Interdisciplinary Aspects of Climate Change" will be commissioned by the Editor-in-Chief and, when accepted, will be subjected to peer-review by an international editorial board, which will process the submissions further.

All submissions to "Interdisciplinary Aspects of Climate Change" will be subject to a strict vetting procedure to ensure their thematic relevance, scope and degree of replication elsewhere. A special emphasis will be given to research which has led to tangible results, as opposed to merely theoretical analyses and appraisals of aspects of climate change problems. Although the Editor-in-Chief will be advised by an international editorial board, his decision is final so as to ensure the editorial coherence of the publication.

The preparation of "Interdisciplinary Aspects of Climate Change" has been made possible by a research grant to cover the publication costs. Authors are nonetheless required to arrange for the purchase of their own copies of the book, by taking advantage of a special discount offered to them. It is a pre-condition for submissions that authors commit to acquiring their own copies of the book and an accepted submission will inter alia imply this has been accepted. Details about privileged purchasing will be issued to authors shortly before the book becomes commercially available in bookshops.
